When we think of the city, we often think of the daily hustle and bustle of getting around. Taking the train, tram, metro, bus, bike or leg carriage wherever we need them to take us. There’s little time to look around and take a breather. To take in the city and find a moment of peace. Matinée invites you to do just that. We provide space, food, something to drink, good company and most importantly: music. For those who want to bask in the afterglow of a great night out, or just enjoy a leisurely Sunday: treat yourself and come hang with us.

Bathing in bass

Matinée welcomes you to the industrial site of a former fonderie in Molenbeek. La Fonderie is now the Brussels Museum of Industry and Work. We invite the robust sound of Levitation Soundsystem in their industrial garden. Together we specifically looked for artists who like to seek out heavy bass, but also see this within the framework of Matinée. Get ready for an afternoon full of vibrations. Let the bass reverberate between the leftover walls, the plants and our bodies!
